Hi
Broke down in my Ford Focus 1.8 TDCi (52 reg) this weekend and found out that after re-filling my coolant reservoir that the water pump is leaking and needs replacement. The car has done over 100k miles and I had the cam belt replaced in April '12.
I have had a quote from my local garage for around ?350 (3.5-4 hrs labour?). Does this seem reasonable?
I'm not too sure if the water pump is driven by the cam belt in the TDCi version and if it would be possible to replace the water pump without removing/touching the belt?
I'm not technical/ mechanical, so would not try to replace the water pump myself. Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated
Many thanks in advance!
James
