[Abstract]

Objectives: To explore the significance of Follicle ? Stimulating hormone Receptor in Prostate Cancer, we have researched the expression of FSHR in the Normal Human Prostate, Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia and Prostate Cancer.Methods: To understand the differences of FSHR expressions among the Normal Human Prostate, Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia and Prostate Cancer and to seek out the relationships between the various pathological ratings of prostate cancer and FSHR as well as the relationships between clinical phases and Gleason Scoring, researchers stained 12 cases of normal specimens and 14 cases of Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia specimens and 45 cases of prostate cancer specimens with monocloned FSHR antibodies by immunohistochemistry and 45 cases of prostate cancer specimens with monocloned AR antibodies in the adoption of immunohistochemical staining .Results:1. The positive expressions of FSHR in prostatic tissues are stained from yellow to brown in cytoplasm. Only two positive expressions in normal prostate and the color is lighter yellow, the positive rate in Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia is 14.5?,but the positive rate reach to 84.5? in prostate cancer , whose color in cytoplasm is deeper.2.All of the negative FSHR expressions are distributed in well differential tumors ,the highly positive rate in poorly differential tumors is 73.3?; 66.7? negative expression in A staging; 100? positive expression in D staging,moreover , 76.5? highly positive expression in D staging. The postive rate of FSHR corresponds with the increase of tumor?s pathological grading and its clinical staging and furthermore with deeper color in cytoplasm.Conclusion: The expression of FSHR in prostate cancer is higher than in Normal Human Prostate and in Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia, the expression in prostate cancer present positive correlation with tumor,s grading and staging. The Expression presents close relation with the carcinogenesis,progression and metastasis of prostate cancer.
