Another well known art form is Madhubani Paintings made by the women residing in the Mithila region of Bihar. The engaging art form is done on the paper and silk cloth. The incidence from the daily life, mythological events and various gods are drawn on the paper using handmade brush and natural colours only. It is still done in the traditional way as it was done several years ago!
Patachitra paintings are the famous Indian paintings of Orissa. Portraying the various forms of Lord Jagannath in Puri it is considered very auspicious as well. Made on paper utilizing natural colours it is truly the wealth of the nation!
